Had a major depressive episode today so I think I'm going to stay offline tonight and just try and work or relax or... something.

Day one of focusing on time spent working instead of amount of words written. Only 1,252 words for the day. Wrote a good scene, though.

Double checked my outline for BYMMS and I think there are 11 chapters left to write..... Which means it's probably not getting finished this month.... Which means I likely can't release it for my birthday like I planned to.... and it's yet further delayed... Ugh.

I am SO TIRED of being too tired to write when I get home from work. I WANT to finish my book, but the energy is just not there...

The worst part about being able to draw for your own stories is when you draw something for a future project and can't show it to people for months. 😭

The solution right now is not saying “move to Mastodon, to Pillowfort, use Picarto galleries” etc, bc that won't stop this silent escalation of censorship and sexual repression on the internet. The issue is not which platform we choose, but rather raising our voices against what is happening.

Really wish people learned to deal with the weird little thoughts in their heads and built trust that the things their brain conjures up and chooses to respond to does not reflect their morality. Your actions do. That's all this puritanical shit is. People scared of their own thoughts and feelings.

I consent to all the most NSFW content people want to post. I can scroll past, mute, block, whatever I choose. We already have the tools, we can choose, that's the point.

Be loud. Complain. Silence or blackout isn't an answer to censorship. Stay quiet when they want to mute you ? That's called compliance. Support NSFW artists, share their voices, add yours to theirs. Draw, share, be more active than ever. I know time's hard but that's when we need to shout the most.

BYMMS is my 1st foray into paranormal romance, which makes it special to me. Bell & Tae are a strangers-to-friends-to-lovers couple, which I think adds a layer of sweetness to their romance I hadn't expected. They're so cute together, I love writing about them. 💜 Plus, the monster side is fun too.

Stuck at my day job with nothing to do and a burning desire to write that I can't indulge in while on the clock. 😭

BYMMS is currently sitting at 103,465 words and still has some amount to go. There is potential for my "simple paranormal romance book" to surpass my post-apocalypse fantasy cross-country adventure debut. That's so wild to me.

FINALLY managed to write again today. 357 words on my first break. Feeling much better about things now that I'm past the wall that was stopping me. Here's hoping for more words at lunch.

Started playing Coral Island last weekend because I desperately needed to relax and it looked fun and cozy. I'm really enjoying it! It's definitely helped me feel better. But now all I want to do is play it and I can't because I need to get back to writing.
