Pour one out for me, a guy who made an ebook cover and didn't save the name of the font I used on it-- and converted all the fonts to images back when I made it 2 years ago, thus making it impossible for me to find the font again so I could create the physical copy.

Was making new business cards and I added a cheeky little sneak peek of a future project into the graphics. A fun surprise for anyone who gets one. 😉

My newest character is Key in BYMMS. He was the last of the main cast to be created and hadn't originally been planned, but worked out well. He's about a year old now so I feel like he's pretty established. I've grown rather attached to him haha. Can't imagine BYMMS without him. #AwesomeCharacters

I don't know why but my brain craves admin work, so that's what I've been doing this week. I need it to want to WRITE.

The characters. I put so much heart into the characters and try really hard to make them the kind of characters you get attached to and want to root for. Bell, Tae, and Key mean so much to me now after working on this book and I think people will love them when they read it too. 💜

I appreciate that my business email tells me when people open my emails but every single time I see the notification I think they've emailed me back and I get excited and go check my inbox only to find they did not, in fact, email me back.

I originally had an arranged marriage subplot in BYMMS that I realized wasn't going to work 3/4ths through the story and would need to be removed in edits. It felt out-of-place in the story by the end. I cut it and replaced it with a new subplot, and the whole book is much better for it, I think.

"If you're writing in third person there should be no interiority whatsoever." I'm still recovering from this horrible advice. The most consistent piece of feedback I get when editing is that I need more interior thoughts.

"Free day" turned into "packing day." I'm very sweaty and achy now, but I got almost all our books packed, so that feels good.

And chapter 25 has been edited. It might need more work later, but for now I'm checking it off the list. Chapter 26 is super short but I'll probably not tackle it today, or if I do it'll be in a few hours. It's break time.

Got another chapter edited. 🎉 The next chapter is pretty hefty but as long as I work through it steadily and take breaks as needed, I think I can get it done today too.

Unfortunately, it's that time again. :( My disability claim was denied (we're appealing, obviously), but in the meantime I have rent due, as well as my other bills. I'm not even sure if I'll have a place to live after August, so if you have extra to give this month, it would go a long way.

I only edited one chapter in the end, because I was too tired to give proper attention to the rest, but I did get a lot of admin work done in its place so I still feel like I was productive.

Time always goes slower when you're really hungry and are waiting for dinner to finish cooking. It goes even slower still when you can smell said dinner.
