I learned something interesting. I cant smell "stink bugs" because its apparently a genetic trait to be able to do so (like how some people taste soapy cilantro). I always wondered why they were called stink bugs when I never noticed any odor from them. Apparently only some people can haha

Business people and ‘prominent’ Zionists don’t have to get off their rich arses and walk down a street in Australia to protest. They just sign a letter somebody else wrote and get the media to do the rest

Never believe the gov when they say they can’t afford it, bc they can. The money is there, they just don’t have the desire to do anything meaningful to fix your life when it would have a slightly negative impact on their own Greed is a hell of thing

"We'll see what happens to it, then". My grumpy old neighbour who doesn't like people (or maybe just me?) parking in front of his house. I don't want my car to get damaged, but I'm also not moving it, bcos it seems important not to let this old sh!t bully me out of parking on a public street.

2026 is about affordable homeownership. No more "policy" this year. Feed the local fauna, befriend them, and then use them to overpower homeowners so you can occupy their dwellings.

just so it's clear: this is the exact core function of genAI Fascist government and climate deniers love it because it can produce the aesthetics of knowledge without any actual tendency towards truth. It is automated denialism. Shame on every climate scientist promoting its use (there are lots)

Fireworks may be pretty, but I think I grew to truly hate them last night. They started around 8:30pm. Then various ones went off sporadically over the next 3&1/2hrs. Then half an hr of more organised ones. Then sirens. Dogs barked ALL evening. Can't imagine what it was like for the local wildlife.

And the dogs are barking. No, not my feet, the local dogs. I can see some of the fireworks through the trees a few blocks away. They're pretty, but I feel sorry for the dogs. And any of the birds who fly in that direction around dusk who were probably settled down for a snooze.
