My washing has been on the line all day, I've just brought it in and it's damper than when I pegged it out.

I'm basically getting rid of the majority of my stuff. Things I've gathered over 30 years + of adult life. I have some vintage crocks and pottery I'm going to take to the charity shop. I honestly thought they'd be of some worth (to the local antique/ house clearance centre) but apparently not.

Thanks for the good wishes (ref, house move) I moved Friday, very stressful. Managed to get Shingles. Feeling really rather low. House needs much more than I thought. Might have to amend my plans.

Things to see, people to do today. Yesterday, I spoke with the Genius Loci of my house. I thanked her and told her about the new people moving in. Just been out in the garden earlier this morning, did the same for the trees and plants.

The name ladybird originated in Britain, the insects became known as 'Our Lady's birds' In medieval times, Mary Our Lady was often shown wearing a red cloak. The seven spots of the ladybird were said to represent her seven joys and seven sorrows.

Good morning all 👋 Final day in my house. I'm sat on a mattress on the floor. I have no chairs, table, fridge or freezer. I've got a cup of Yorkshire tea, so at least there's that.

Meanwhile, 100 pedestrians are killed and 1,500 seriously injured each year walking on rural roads. Crucially, where access is granted by right or by permission, landowners’ liability over injury is reduced. The numbers speak for themselves: giving people safe routes across land could save lives.

Founded in 1907 to defend landowners’ interests, the CLA has fought against every major push to open up the countryside. From blocking early footpath reforms to opposing today’s right to roam movement, the CLA has stood on the wrong side of public access for over a century.
