I kind of have this right now. granted, it is a "pity job" and barely pays so I'm still stuck being dependent on my family, and being disabled takes away more of that time recovering from even minimal hours of work. but it would really be the ideal setup otherwise

It's obviously infuriating when this happens but I take a little issue with the "literacy crisis" framing of this topic because I kind of believe at most points in history, people were a bunch of dipshits who wouldn't change their mind. We're just exposed to more of them now.

I see people blaming like... dumb readings of movies on "the literacy crisis." I dunno man!! I think most people are often bad at understanding art, but historically we heard the voices of professional critics and now we hear the voices of everyone on earth at once.
