What if the United States had a Congress?

Donald Trump just threatened to unilaterally destroy an entire civilization. Is there genuinely no limit to what Republicans will allow this unhinged, unwell man to do? Congress must come back to Washington to rein in this dangerous behavior immediately.

Regardless of whether it’s all talk, when the leader of our country expresses plainly genocidal intent, everyone has to do something. For citizens of all political stripes, it means rejecting this madness. For Congress, it means taking action to rein him in. Now.

I just called my Congress person and basically went on a "Do something" rant.

One man put us in this deadly quagmire. One man is wrecking our economy. One man’s immigration agents have terrorized our communities. One man has ridden roughshod over our system of government. We said "No Kings" 250 years ago. Congress must say "No Kings" today. If not, they must be replaced.

The President is openly threatening genocide. A crime against humanity. He must be removed from office. The 25th Amendment must be invoked. If not, Congress has to do our damn job. Speaker Johnson, call us into session. War powers & impeachment. Remove this man from office.

So pro-life means jailing women who miscarry but shrugging when the deranged president says “a whole civilization will die tonight.” Do I have that right?

The President of the United States is threatening to commit war crimes and wipe out a "whole civilization" — all because he started a disastrous war of his own making and had no plan and no strategy for how to end it. This is abhorrent, and the American people do not support this.

If we are ever to be a “great” country, shouldn’t we be able to provide universal healthcare for all? Oh, right. Then we wouldn’t be able to waste billions of dollars (and harm the entire world in the process) fighting forever wars that MOSTAmericans do not want.

The number one cause of death for pregnant women is murder. And there has been zero curiosity about why perhaps that is, other than more and more legislation to take away women's rights.

When something is bad for men, there will be non-stop media coverage and politicians tripping over themselves to propose a "fix" to help. When something is bad for women, people shrug.
