We really need to stop allowing the fascists to dictate how we talk. They've openly said that even criticizing them is criminal. Anyone who isn't them is a "criminal" in their eyes. They don't believe in due process. Literally no one deserves to be kidnapped off the street and disappeared

I just phoned my rep, @quigley.house.gov , to ask him to vote No today. Not only did his DC office pick up the phone on the second ring, the assistant was polite and assured me that Representative Quigley “would absolutely be voting no” today.

Getting new details on this now: As the arrest unfolded, teachers pleaded with the agents telling them the teacher had a work permit. The agents went into multiple rooms looking for teachers while children were present. One teacher hid with a child in her care while the agents stormed the facility.

Not just a woman, a daycare worker at her job. They had no warrant & reports state that she was legally allowed to work in the US. This is what’s happening in Chicago

It’s so true. I am on the ACA now & will be on the IL marketplace plan in 2026. Otherwise I would have no insurance because my job doesn’t offer that benefit. Everyone is really one bad health issue away from medical debt already.

So it’s Halloween here in Chicago. And in my Northwest side neighborhood most neighbors are sitting outside. It’s a festive atmosphere but we are also all on alert for any ICE activity to keep people safe.

Hi, I'm the ProPublica reporter who's been tracking an unusual stat: U.S. citizens grabbed by immigration agents. I did it because the government isn’t. This is what I found.

As a proud @usc.edu alumni (class of '94) I am proud of my university and fully support this decision.

Police just detained two protesters. One dressed as the Statue of the Liberty.
