And if there was ever a post to quote to plug the Australian screenings of SNLUK, it’s one where I mostly talk about Radio 4’s The Naked Week.

My take on SNL UK is that it’s about as funny as SNL USA. Weekend Update not as sharp as SNL USA, and nowhere near as sharp as Radio 4’s The Naked Week, which is very much the gold standard for UK topical comedy right now.

Finally saw the acclaimed play Stereophonic last night. It’s very long but doesn’t feel it, and a nice, almost ambient, journey into the world of 70s music, but it has a big problem: it’s not saying anything beyond that artists are perfectionists and gender politics are a bit messed up.

Another good episode in which I play “substitute woman whose mic’s on the Fritz” and reminisce about London’s Save Get This rally.
