As a minister of the church in this historical moment, I am heartbreakingly aware of the extent to which the term "Christian" in the United States has become utterly alienated from Jesus. For so many, "Christian" signifies bigotry, hatred, white supremacy, racism, anti-science, and conspiracy.

Despite the inevitable nonsense of internet opinion, I am really looking forward to getting back to my first love and calling to teach adults. I love children and enjoy teaching them, too, but I LOVE teaching serious adults.

I’m going to lead a women’s Bible/Saint life study on the Nicene Creed this year. I have three university degrees that prepared me ages ago to teach that subject. I have taught in seminaries & colleges & am a published theologian who has taught at archdiocesan cons.

My substack is Somemyrrh.substack.com I try to write twice a week, but yolo and I have disabilities, so it’s not always that often. I usually make posts free on a timer, with a paid subscription-only archive.
