I am in a FUNK today.

While I will never be the person with a perfectly clean and polished home (unless I go back to paying for help), I have gotten to the place where if someone drops by unexpectedly I wouldn’t be mortified by the state of the course and with 20-30 minutes notice it could be fairly company ready.

I was so proud of myself because I did the type of clean where you remove stuff from the counters and take off the oven knobs and I went to bed with zero dishes in the sink or drying … so Parish decided to leave a Trail of Trash through the house.

The Southern accents coming and going in Scarpetta is making me nuts.

I told my Mom we were planning to dye Easter eggs with The Kid this weekend and she got on Pinterest and now we’re dyeing eggs with shaving cream and rice.

Good news: Manfriend’s car has an automatic setting that repeatedly sets off your horn if you forget a child in the back seat. Bad news: We discovered this when we left The Kid (who is 11) in the backseat briefly to make a return. (He was totally fine, it wasn’t hot, the doors weren’t even locked.)
