Things are moving again, I am feeling some degree of safety returning, and it's all showing in multiple areas! Time to breathe.

I got precariously close to my 'very bad place' this week. Illness led to work loss so fear of homelessness spiked with the rent due. Support from friends & being able to work again pulled me away from 'very bad place'. I feel hope now, a few days after thinking I might never feel safe again.

Managed to get back to work! 6 weeks off with what I think was acute covid/autoimmune condition flare/chronic fatigue combined. Absolutely horrendous, thought I was dying. Now i have a lot of financial pieces to urgently pick up and I am terrified that I seem to be getting a minor cold...

Interesting! I have CPTSD and around 10 years ago I made up my own detailed little points system to make all tasks easier to complete. It was the only way I could get things done. I live by it still now, but I know the system so well it just goes on in the background of my head.

What I can never get over is how truly exhausting it is. The disability itself, yes, but what mostly wipes me out is the ongoing fight for basic rights. It makes me so much more unwell, so much more exhausted.

Being a SW online with chronic illness is difficult but it's mostly the steep learning curve - once there is a system in place, things become much smoother.

Writing wise I've been slow these last 6 weeks - I had a nasty health episode followed by a chronic fatigue wave. I'm now back to Writing my take on The Salt Path fiasco. No one took the pitch but I think my voice really has a place here. So it will be on my blog soon, I hope!

Please help them. Motaz is my friend. I cant DM him now due to Bluesky's new rules but I see his daily struggle. My heart aches. Every small amount helps but we need to dig as deep as we can to help this family eat, to survive. Don't ignore them please. Make a difference.
