We don't want to become our own surveillance state, where we're all basically the walking ring cams of social justice. Also, the infrastructure is just impractical. Batteries, mounts, storage cards, secure off-loading, data management. Industries exist to make this kind of thing make sense for cops.

This makes more sense, but it still isn't a good idea. It's important that a thoughtful, conscientious person on the ground decides when to film and when not to. Sometimes, protesters break the law. If everyone's continuously filming everything, there's a lot to subpoena.

ICE terrorizes our cities. ICE puts us all in danger. Abolish ICE.

Masked federal agents killing people in the streets to enact violent, racist policies ripping people from communities, into detention or for deportation. Border enforcement breeds, requires, enacts fascism.

I am trying not to post on these events in this state of mind but: I hope people understand what the observers are doing is brave and dangerous.
