Finished Assassin's Creed 2. I dont know what I was expecting from the story and lore but it sure wasn't that. I was expecting maybe Indiana Jones style supernatural stuff but nah its significantly wilder.

Like Spongebob I don't care how old I get I will always be very very fond of Toy Story.

Honestly the most exciting announcement for me today was the Toy Story collection not gonna lieeeeee. Thinking I might pick up the full collection physical for Switch 2 and Toy Story 3 remastered digitally for PS5. (Since Toy Story 2 is already available on PS5 anyway)

Assassin's Creed 2 is so wildly different from 1 that to some extent while impressed I'm also dissapointed. A lot of what I liked in 1 is either gone or diluted.

Assassin's Creed has a reputation now for being generic but the first game is so creative, ambitious and interesting for it's time. Not all of it works well but I love the ideas on display.

I've ignored the Assassin's Creed series for nearly twenty years and tried the first game since it was on sale for $5 on GOG and Ghost of Tsushima made me curious to check out more historical fiction. Wasn't expecting to enjoy it especially since the game has largely been buried but it's been great.

Finished Lego Batman. Skywalker Saga was impressive but a mixed bag of half baked ideas, Batman though? This is probably the best Lego game ever made. TT made something special. Lego Batman 1 was my introduction to Batman as a kid, happy for the kids who discover Batman through this game, its great

I really should read more DC comics that aren't Batman but also there's so much Batman I still want to read. I've barely scratched the surface of Batman comics. Long Halloween and Court of Owls were so good!

Love a good Janeway episode

My backlog is infinite and always repopulating with desired replays and new discoveries. Games are cheaper and more accessible than ever. I don't like leaving games unfinished or feeling stuck to one longer than I want to be. I'm not against long games at all but it isn't a selling point any more.

Redoing this skeet without quoting the devs because I don't want to discourage them. Saw an indie dev advertising their biggest game yet at 20-30 hours. That's cool and I'm happy for them but they probably lost me as a customer which is maybe ironic. I'd be more interested to pay for a shorter game

Watched Shin Godzilla. Neat movie but I wish I liked it more than I did? The ending kind of left me feeling like "That was it?" Can't help but compare it to Minus One and I loved Minus One a lot more.

At this point I've dropped all other apps to focus only on MaruMori for now. If anyone reading this is interested in learning Japanese, I warn you'll probably want "premium" after the two week trial but I'm currently wishing I had just started with this app and recommend it.

Progress on Japanese still going steady, over twenty days in and have worked on it every day. At the moment I'm waiting to get through a certain amount of srs work on MaruMori.io before I do new lessons. (Sped through opening lessons I already knew about which clogged up vocab/kanji/grammar reviews)
