You have more in common with the people of Iran than you do with anyone in this administration, any member of the technocracy, anyone who is profiting from this war, or any billionaire. When you see Iranians forming human chains outside key infrastructure sites, you should feel a sense of kinship.

It's going to be a very hard summer for so many people and so many species. We can already feel here in BC, with the weak snowpack currently washing down mountains because of an unseasonable atmospheric river. The only ones doing well are the oil companies, with their record war profits.

My take on the Jan 23 action in Minneapolis is that I don’t really care whether it’s a “true” general strike (we could argue about that all day). What DOES matter is that it’s a bold and necessary escalation, and local labor leaders are publicly encouraging workers to join in anti-ICE resistance

Healthcare, childcare, care for elders and disabled people. Guaranteed jobs, incomes, homes. Mass transit. Green energy. We were taught we can't afford to provide these to everyone. But somehow we've known that's false. Let us now unlearn the old neoliberal ways by learning how to provide for all.
