So this sent me off into a weird reverie about the tangled relationship between postfurry, transhumanism, and rationalism. "Postfurry" as such arose in the early 2000s, out of a group of furries on a BDSM-focused, text-based roleplay environment called Tapestries. 1/

The problem with talking about the history of Postfurry in any "authoritative" way is that it's sort of just a bunch of stuff that a relatively small friends group did, that then got mythologized (and/or sometimes vilifed)
