The future of knowledge work is decision work. People who think AI will make knowledge work obsolete forget that every decision of substance has tradeoffs.

Like, without actual software management experience, the folks making the decisions think the code part is hard, and the people part is easy, and that AI can just bampf away the pain points.

People think "using AI for development is lazy." I find it to be MASSIVELY more work (in a good way) AI dev actually mirrors the experiences I've had leading software teams where we're building rapidly and iteratively as a group—and that work is _intense_ and about as far from lazy as it gets.
