There are no small political victories or anything to celebrate right now as long as Trump is president. I’m not getting a sense on Bluesky that people fully understand how dangerous the situation is for everybody. Nothing short of his forcible removal from Office is a “win” right now.

I think it’s really hard for traditional Democrats, those that call themselves liberals, to grasp the foundational aspect of Trump‘s rise to power. I think it’s hard for them to understand that it’s been more than 40 years in the making. I think they’re in serious denial about what needs to be done.

The thing I found so impressive about Adam Smith’s takedown of Pete Hegseth during his congressional testimony, was his ability to clearly articulate his points without a single break or hesitation. My weekly trash pickup is handled by the global corporate giant, Waste Management. They just invoiced me for a fuel surcharge, which is about 20% of my total bill now. I can afford it, but for many people on fixed incomes this really hurts. Stupid fucking MAGA owns this.
