Did I miss any updates on the investigation into the motive of Charlie Kirk’s killer? It feels like that just disappeared as a story, which is strange considering his exaltation within GOP and making his murder into a national event. I’d think we’d be getting hearing about it frequently

I don’t know about you, but something tells me Trump’s removal from office will happen sooner rather than later. The bigger question is what’s going to take his place?

The free speech activist who built a list of professors he worked to get fired for their speech must be celebrated for his support of free speech, and anyone who quotes his speech accurately in context will be fired and/or face state punishment by the champions of free speech, do I have that right?

There are many young people that do not realize that Charlie Kirk echoed, almost literally, everything that Phyllis Schlafly said during her time in the public spotlight. Unlike Charlie Kirk, however, she actually ran for public office multiple times and lost. She was able to say her piece and live.

This coverage of Charlie Kirk is absurd. As a veteran, peacenik, anti-gun nut, and proud liberal, I do not advocate violence of any kind. Kirk used his politics as a weapon, and aimed to hurt innocent people. I am not celebrating his death, but I am lamenting the demise of truth in this country.

All this suggests is that the shooter wants people to believe they're a far-left ideologue. Maybe they are; without more evidence, we don't know. But a far-right "accelerationist" wanting civil war, more hatred, more violence would do the exact same thing.

When you devote your life to the message that empathy is evil and gun deaths are an acceptable price to pay for gun rights, you shape the world with your words. Maybe Charlie Kirk didn’t expect to be a victim of his own worldbuilding, but his death is consistent with the world he helped create.

Judging by the shamefully opportunistic & politicizing rhetoric of some rightwingers on Twitter, & their cynical use of Charlie Kirk’s horrific murder for political point scoring, it’s almost as if Minnesota Rep. Melissa Hortman wasn’t murdered by a Trump-voting MAGA maniac just 12 weeks ago.

As long as this nation worships guns, we are all targets. Unless we start working toward making gun violence unacceptable at all levels, we are making ourselves targets.

The problem isn’t that they think it’s fake. It’s that they don’t care if it’s real.

Local TV news coverage focuses on crime in the cities and broadcast to people living in rural and small town America where they sanctimoniously believe none of this happens to them. Fox News has helped create the GOP narrative that all cities are crime infested because they are run by Democrats.
