Last Friday our office was closed in support of the Day of Truth & Freedom general strike. Staff marched with 50,000 other Minnesotans in downtown Minneapolis. It was a day of inspiration and renewal. Then came Saturday morning. 1/

Even in an occupation self care is important. Mine is live music and Slut Intent rule. Super heavy live sound, front person dominates the stage, and they’ve got some real flair (especially the guitar player on the far side). Crowd was going apeshit the whole time. Hardcore at its best.

My show tonight (Clipse) was originally scheduled for the Armory, but got moved to Myth. A venue I legit didn’t think existed anymore.

An absolutely essential read about an overlooked leader of the Civil Rights Movement. I’d learned a lot about Miss Ella Baker from my other reading, but always as a secondary character. This book shows just how primary she was and how much she was doing in the background. Highly recommended.

Me watching my favorite team: Two minute timeout. One yard run. Measurement. Official review of the spot. Six yard run. Timeout. Incomplete pass. 16 yard pass. Still 1:16 left it has been like 10 minutes of real time. And people say nothing happens in soccer. Also, go Hawks!
