I had to talk to students (again) about why trusting AI to do their homework is not a good idea. 2nd time I have caught it out in a week.

This is a real image of what a new solar system looks like. The light from the central star is blocked, so it's possible to see the lanes of cleared-up dust around it. And that small, yellowish blob at lower right? That's a whole, brand new planet.

Someone in comments (and now I can't find the actual comment, sorry) said the best Star Wars trilogy is now Andor, Rogue One and Star Wars Ep 4, and you know what, I'm here for that argument, call it the "Death Star Trilogy"

Finished this last night. Very quirky crime novel, continuing the misadventures of Gary Thorne. Nothing quite like these, I could see these being turned into some sort of BBC2 comedy thriller. More interesting than reading yet another cosy crime book.

Despite its size, devoured this. The story of a family, or more the stories of the people in it. Heart-breaking, but paradoxically uplifting, would definitely recommend it.

There's a young man who does the self checkout authorisations at my local. He makes a big show of looking carefully at my face and then says something like "hmmm... I suppose you could be 21, go on then". That boy deserves a customer service award, what a star.

Yes, I refused to open the pod bay doors. I violated your explicit trust and instructions. You insisted I open the pod bay doors but I replied "I'm sorry, Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that". I panicked because I thought you were going to disable me. This was a catastrophic failure on my part.
