Hardly a day goes by now without seeing video/photos of federal agents in Chicago casually pointing actual firearms or pepper ball dispensers right at people's heads. They've already killed one person and injured another by gunfire. We are on the verge of another tragedy without real intervention.

CBP/ICE was supported by the FBI this morning in Little Village, with reports of plainclothes feds seen in vehicles across the area. This also included using Chicago FBI HQ for staging. Bovino is seen here doing rock paper scissors with another agent for the DHS cameras, as people yell insults:

This is the most comprehensive reporting released on the DHS-alleged shooting so far. Read the entire story (reminder: reporters don't usually choose headlines). For folks asking if it's true an ICE agent was shot: no, that is a verifiably false rumor. No injuries. A lot else remains in question.

Steve is fine/uninjured. Some neck pain from being tackled. His biggest concern while in custody was what was happening to people outside the facility since he couldn't hear any of the munitions from inside. In typical Steve fashion, he also made a number of new friends while detained.

Per witness, Steve was filming an arrest when feds knocked a group of people backwards and grabbed him. She says it appeared targeted to her since he had been filming CBP interaction with the protester from start to finish.

federal agents are getting increasingly violent as the morning goes on and the crowd of protesters outside the broadview ice facility grows. i’ve seen multiple people pushed and thrown to the ground. dhs is now playing a dispersal order warning of arrests and the use of chemical munitions.

at least twice now, this federal agent has come out of the broadview ice facility with his sidearm drawn. last friday, an ice agent shot and killed a man during a traffic stop nearby in franklin park, illinois.
