Texas is close to not being a functioning democracy It’s the hardest place to vote because Republicans have put impediments in place based on totally bogus vote fraud concerns - that they just make up The courts have become complicit in this effort What we’re seeing in Texas now is a disgrace

A reminder that evil racist murderous scumbag Greg Abbott and indicted criminal Ken Paxton robbed Rep. Jasmine Crockett of her House seat by making her district nonexistent. Those are the asshole traitors that need to be taken out of power so that Texas can turn blue one day.

As a resident, I can testify that in most rural areas they will vote for the guy that shot their dog and raped their sister as long as he is a Republican. It's cultural now. Paxton is a perfect example. Three generations of undereducation and RW propaganda has melted their brains.

I am back in D.C. to hear from cruel Kristi Noem on why she is complicit in the chaos happening at DHS, vote on a War Powers Resolution to rein Donald Trump in, and vote against a DHS funding bill that does nothing to address the reckless actions we’re seeing from ICE. The work continues.

Trump isn't offering any justification for attacking Iran because he doesn't need to. There is no authority out there waiting to stop him if they don't like the answer. His answers are just trolling, to give the hacks something to talk about.

Many countries manage to stop this type of wealth accumulation. The most important step is to stop the intergenerational transfer of wealth. Massive estate taxes. And then you just tax income at increasingly higher rates until once your income exceeds a certain amount, it's 100% tax.

That’s why so many billionaires live in the US, many other countries would limit their ability to accumulate so much wealth and continue to pass it down generationally. We have pretty much reached the tipping point in our country. Let’s see if we are up to the task as the founders were.

I’ve been slowly world building a story idea where an event happens that leads to Carter winning in ‘80, Reagan doesn’t get past the primaries in ‘84. The rest is sort of a “what if?” around that and the fallout from the event. It’s shocking how much suffering can be traced directly back to Reagan

I agree. These 3 judges believe in a conservative King. They want to live in an authoritarian state ruled by a strict conservative dictator who protects wealth and privilege and banishes the poor and oppresses liberals. Every ruling advances these objectives.

A former president convicted of insurrection and sentenced to life because courts did their job. Accountability isn’t radical, it’s functional democracy. Must be nice to have a system that treats power like responsibility, not immunity, as in Yoon Suk Yeol.
