Law / Politics / Public Education
Hi, I’m Speaker Yeager. I know things are tough for Nevadans but things are tough for me too! In addition to keeping my $1250 red bottom Louboutin’s clean, my $1.65 billion public money Hollywood handout still doesn’t have the votes. Big smiles though! Day 6 at $100,000+ a day.

Oh also, Joe Dalia voted yes and he’s running for Nevada Treasurer. Seems like a problematic vote for a guy trying to be the chief banker and investment officer for state government… dude just voted to blow a 1.8B hole in the states budget like it was no biggie

On their way out of the Assembly, outgoing democratic leaders (Steve Yeager, Daniele Monroe-Moreno, and Sandra Jauregui) just voted to cut education funding and create a massive hole in the state’s budget. Sadly, the outgoing Assembly Leadership put Hollywood’s wants over Nevadans’ needs.

Good messaging. Bad messengers. What Lombardo did is inexcusable, but the NVDems party chair, Speaker, Majority Leader, and candidate for treasurer are literally working to give away over a billion dollars to Hollywood executives right now

Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

instead of saying this was good strategy, maybe senate dems should say: "the republicans were going to kill people by starving them to death, and because we aren't monsters, we decided to let this fight go. We'll keep fighting. Stop electing monsters."

It doesn't actually matter if Chuck Schumer votes for this or not. If he can't keep his caucus unified to protect healthcare for over 10 million Americans, he should resign as leader.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.
