A tale from today… It was a fine spring day. The sun was shining and the wind was trying to have me scalped. I was adjusting my shopping bag, which- much like its carer -tends to consist of one heavy one, when I noticed an errant basil leaf seemed to have escaped its home.

1/2) Don’t have a photo but this reminds me of the time I ran into a family of deer in the woods. Mum, Dad and the fawn. I’m an animal person so I went all soft and gentle with quiet “Oh hello, lovelies!” The fawn actually began to STEP TOWARDS ME and I was elated. But-

Spent the evening surgically incisioning vanilla beans. Now we seal & shelve this bad boy for a year & hope for the best. Incidentally, whilst my hands smell fantastic, this hipster stubble is so sticky I’m tempted to just draw faces on my fingers & let them start a band called The Pod Castaways.

Today’s Artemis II launch marks a major step forward in space exploration. I have had the privilege of spending time with this crew and seeing their discipline and commitment up close. As they begin this mission, I am wishing them a safe journey and a safe return home.

A year ago today a chance bit of the algorithm over on Threads would lead me to discovering what I now consider to be the best book series I’ve ever read. Says something about an author when there’s 41 of them and somehow that’s still not enough.

I have still not forgiven Apple for removing their headphone jack. People playing music on the bus-for the 𝘥𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 of their journey -brings out murderous tendencies in me I didn’t know I had.

Fair play to the Universe and its sense of humour. Been trying to upload my metaphysical picture book for a week but I’m struggling with dimensions.
