The GOP has been gerrymandering the fuck out of the south for decades. It's long past time Dems stopped playing fair about this shit. And if Republicans want to cry about it, point em at every other state that seceded in 1860 where their fucked up maps still rule.

Sweden, too. 15 years after Sweden began replacing textbooks with computers, they allocated over €100M to bring printed books back into schools for core subjects. Teachers, parents, and education officials cited concerns about reading comprehension, reduced attention span, weaker writing ability.

In 2009, Sweden Replaced Textbooks with Screens: 15 Years Later, It’s Spending $120M to Bring Them Back
Sweden embraced screens in classrooms and pushed books aside. Years later, the country is making a costly reversal that says everything about what went wrong.

Denmark has long been hailed as a digital champion, with online public services and tablets in schools as early as 2011. Now they are now shifting course in the education sectors, due to alarming impacts to children’s mental health and school performance. A massive return to analogue is underway.

If you need an audience to go back and watch a retconned version of a story they've already seen to understand the story you're telling, then you are not telling a coherent story to begin with, and I worry for you.

In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.

There are many reasons I believe in the separation of Church and State and "you can't disagree with the head of state, that's against theology" is probably the most prominent "absolutely not" scenario.

I suspect the Pope sounds "woke" to many Christian conservatives because the US is steeped in prosperity theology, where the point of worship is to deliver health and wealth to believers. Thus, "feed the hungry" and "show mercy for the poor" sounds needlessly political and "woke."
