Bit of a panic, bit of a setback - computer suddenly stopped working yesterday and is completely unresponsive. In a repair-shop now; should find out the damage tomorrow. All my work is backed up, thank my stars, so no worry there. Still, if I need a new computer it’ll be a real blow. Wish me luck. 😮‍💨

I've been looking at the Metal Slug 1-3 A LOT over the years and noticed this at the end of MS3 stage 2. 1) Crop of the bg just before the boss comes in. 2) Crop with a sprite that was overlayed removed. 3) Just that sprite. 4) Generic smoke puff animation the sprite was taken from. continued...

I started a mockup for a Samurai Pizza Cats game a few years back, got a little ways into the background and stopped. Picked it up again and drilled away at it. I had the old version and a WIP of the revision saved so I've uploaded those as well.

OK lighting can strike enemies now 🌩️🌩️🌩️ added some visual effects when they get hit. also added a "static" effect that stays for a while after being struck but I'm not sure what it will do YET.

Been doing some minor stuff on this project recently, such as adding NPCs, reworking some rings, and trying to make anything halfway decent in famitracker.

Oh, I missed it yesterday! Elemental Master was released on JP Mega Drive 35 years ago, Dec 14, 1990. Technosoft's main dev room didn't make it. It was a separate dept know as "Branch Office 1" with a senior programmer, senior sound designer, and senior graphic designer. That's it. Just 3 people
