I can't remember where, but back in Feb 2021, I heard this song and immediately fell in love with it. I had no idea what the game was and bought it on Steam solely because of the music. It ended up being awesome. If you like NES Zelda-like games with puzzles, you will definitely like this.

Remaking the font so it actually fits a 8x16 grid. This one will be complex because it has ligatures. The 2010 version font was not retro-accurate. Basically because I made the game before learning how to make my own bitmap fonts.

This post made me want to buy Crocotile ...though my intention of usage is probably not what most people buy it for. I saw it as a chance to try making something as voxels instead of pixels. I was hoping it'd help me understand how to make pixel art more 3D looking. Sooo first step: my game's ship

4 years later (on the same PC), I finally try Rez Infinite's Area X again and it actually worked this time! Original game always worked fine, just not Area X. But now I'm let down for a different reason: too short; like maybe 10-15 minutes. 94% shootdown and never got hit once.

Never beaten this on hard difficulty. At least I've got that knockback down whenever it punches at me. Took me ~7 tries before I finally killed it. I figured I'd just keep dashing until I died, but that's what actually helped lol I gave up on the final boss. Maybe another time 😅
