Completed Split Fiction with my gf, what a ride! The amount of unique mechanics in this game is insane and like half of them could cary the whole game, but they tossed away in 5 minutes after introduction. And the Last level! Pure masterpiece in level and game design, like what the hell.

I've been playing Cultic for the last couple of days, and whoa, it's like the best boomer shooter I've played. The polish, game feel, small unnecessary things (like axe deflection and enemy shields pickup) and even UI is outstanding for single dev game. Hats off @jasozzgames.bsky.social

Tinkering with a small adventure game with prerendered backgrounds, late 90s — early 2000s style

I always liked how original Splinter Cell UI looked, with it's skeuomorphic old LCD display feel, and was inspired to make a high resolution version of it. In the end a made a couple of small additions and improvements, so consider it UI for a remaster, like if it came out today.

It’s safe to say Monolith was one of the most prolific, seminal studios in Western gaming. I think it took a very special kind of talent to mismanage it into making only 2 games in 10 years and sealing off one of the more interesting mechanics in recent AAA memory. Don’t you guys love capitalism?

I'm still kind of processing the loss of Monolith as an entity. Like, obviously the biggest concern is with those who lost their jobs today, but that company had a storied history full of amazing titles across various genres and just... Poof. Fourth quarter earnings said fuck your institution.
