I immersed myself in the bottom of the barrel of silksong discourse: the comments section of YouTube videos that are critical of the difficulty too. Other than a bad mood, my biggest takeaway was: People are tying themselves into knots to not admit that the high difficulty IS their problem.

"AI" is absolutely and ONLY a marketing term, and at this point if it's being used, the intent behind it is to overpromise to the consumer/end user on the program's actual capabilities. And, of course, none of the "AI" is actually intelligent in any meaningful way.

Something I really like about the original Silent Hill on the PS1 is that it effectively shows you why tank controls had their strengths. This entire sequence has the camera changing positions constantly but the player only has to hold forward and turn, you always know which way you're going.
