After all this time, I finally got into Blender's Asset Library stuff. Managed to make a few easily modifiable boolean cutters and a very simple/flexible Geo Nodes staircase generator. Getting a little level editor toolset made!

Share your knowledge if/when you can. Teaching other people how to do what you do doesn’t lessen your art - it just means more and better art for everyone. I appreciate when people are willing to tell me about their brushes, how they study, etc… I want to put that back out into the world.

I have been struggling to come up with more posts for Comix Cleric. Not because I have nothing left to say, but lots of exciting stuff is still yet to come and I don't wanna spoil anything. As a break from all the talk about apps and how much I hate the current corporate landscape, have a rough drawling of my newest DnD character, Damid Dynglir.

I've been talking a lot about what it does/doesn't do (yet), but what IS it? Comix Cleric is effectively a webcomic site and hosting toolkit you can download and host yourself, or pay us to do it for you. We don't want to tie anyone down to paying us for it, but we'd be jazzed if you did!

Creative liberties

Not everyone is going to like that this app is based on SvelteKit, I get that. The files have predefined naming conventions, and the output is garbled/obfuscated. But, the ease of working with it as a JS framework for people that mainly know HTML/CSS, it's the easiest I've personally found to use.

I would also like to say that while the theming system is not as advanced as something like WP and their templates, support will come. I'm am first and foremost a UI designer/developer, and due to the other work that needed to be done first, a lot of that type of stuff took a back-seat for now.

I really should have tested compatibility with Godot 4.5 and Blender 5.0's file format. I assumed wrong, and now have to move ALL the greyboxes I was working on to a new (older) Blender file. (For quick prototyping, I prefer to import the Blend file directly instead of exporting to glTF first.)
