I'm so tired of the artist's profession being treated as something unimportant and easily replaceable. “We're just using genAI for concept art, trust me, it'll be live actors!” I mean, yeah, artists aren't really people, so we shouldn't pay them or respect what they do... sigh

So odd to see art making people being like „Oh I only use AI for concept art, like getting ideas, you know“ as if that is not the stage that is especially crucial for being creative and finding your voice in the art piece you and your team are about to make.

Using genAI for concept art is so fucking stupid because like... that's where you get the cool shit. Thats the blue sky phase where artists make pieces of art that will be seen by a teenager later and change their life forever. Why would you want to start from mediocre. Why would you do that.

Just so I'm clear on this, computer memory has tripled in price because a bunch of it that hasn't been produced yet has been ordered to populate GPUs that aren't installed in data centers that aren't built yet in order to service a demand that doesn't exist to make profits that don't happen.

The hardest part about being into animated shows and being non-American is trying to find a way to watch something in a somewhat legal way. Often this means waiting for a show for several years thus missing all the discourse online about it or never being able to watch it at all.

It's driving me nuts, as a person who actually watches films with my eyes, to hear characters talk soooo much about what they're doing and where they're going and why. Like, shut up!!

I‘ve been watching Road to Empress on @secretsleepoversociety.com and last night I had a very confusing dream full of soup, prison cells and intriguing.

The Animal Crossing update looks nice. But I still long for a new AC that goes back to the original idea of moving to a new city and meeting new people. Where you‘re not a god controlling everything and stuff happens a little randomly. It‘s just so streamlined and perfect.

I love sharks, sailor related clothing and pink…soooooo… it was time for a new pink shark mascot for myself.
