It's insane that GTA VI will cost as much as the two new Star Wars games combined! I mean, you can get the $80 version, but that's missing content that should be in the base game. Ultimate editions should just have cosmetics like Galactic Racer and Zero Company.

Re-watching #TheAcolyte (which I'm enjoying even more this time around) & once again struck by this early moment. Qimir recognizes Osha as distinct from Mae IMMEDIATELY, while Sol—despite feeling destined to be Osha’s master—managed to confuse her with her twin TWICE (both past and present).

Some say the prequels would work better as silent films. I sort of agree, as George shot those films like epics from Hollywood's golden age. It may work for TPM, but by ROTS, the CGI sections felt shot and paced more intensely. I think the mismatch would amplify without dialogue.

As much as I loved the week to week fandom speculation of ##TheAcolyte, the season is better enjoyed when you can binge it. The mystery nature of the story means it is like watching a clumped string unfold into a single thread. The satisfaction comes from how it transforms into its conclusion.

use headcanons to express your creativity, to fall more in love with characters and ships. don't use them to be a horrible person, erase people, bully people, or anything worse. if you don't like a headcanon, just mute or block it's not that hard!

I just read "The Blade" and wow! Porter & Barash are extremely interesting characters, and I love their dynamic. It's amazing to see Porter in action, and the presentation of his skills in the comic is perfect; it is the best medium for it. And the themes tie in well with Phase 2.

May has ended, and it has been a fun and eventful month for us Star Wars fans. From queuing for Celebration tickets to watching a new Star Wars film in cinemas for the first time in seven years, so much has happened. What has everyone's favourite Star Wars moment this May been?

One thing I’ll always love about Qimir as the first Knight of Ren (given Kylo’s theme plays in #TheAcolyte) is that he doesn’t yearn for absolute power or to rule; he merely wants absolute freedom to wield the Dark Side (whether as a raider like future Ren, or even purely just as a practitioner).

In the finale of #TheAcolyte, it’s super interesting how this is the last time we see Qimir with his mask. But not with the same menacing aura from before; instead he comes to try to warn them and help Osha and Mae one more time, regardless of whether one of them would become an Acolyte afterwards.

It ties their character arcs in this season together so neatly.

We are a year away from Starfighter, which feels so strange after the recent drought of Star Wars films. It's also surprising that it is releasing in May, which makes me think it will have lower, more personal stakes, like Solo or The Mandalorian and Grogu.

#TheMandalorianandGrogu Spoilers My favourite segment in the film was this part with Grogu. I am so happy we got it and have many positive things to say, but I also have a few criticisms of this sequence. This is what made me excited for the future of these characters.

Weirdly, today the moon looks like Ilum/Starkiller base in Fallen Order. It is probably the heat, making my brain think of cold places.

This is very cool. TBOBF will always have a special place in my heart. While not the best series, it was the most fun imo. And comics are the perfect form to adapt this story. Hopefully this means that we will get more Boba Fett soon, and more Mandoverse adaptations.

My 2 biggest takeaways from #TheMandalorianandGrogu are that: 1) Star Wars needs to make more standalone films. It is the perfect universe for more summer blockbusters like this or Solo. 2) I missed Din and Grogu, and I'll be happy to see more adventures of them together.

Having a Star Wars film back in cinemas reminded me of what normal Star Wars fans are like. And then you get back on social media, and everybody is doing Star Wars purity tests.

I hope everyone has chilled out now. Because I thought the film was just fine, but people on here are acting like it is "the death of Star Wars" or "the return to the true definition of Star Wars". This is why we suck as a fandom 😭

I saw #TheMandalorianandGrogu on Friday. It was a fun evening out, but the film was nothing to write home about. If you like the series, it is another fun adventure with Mando and Grogu. The best thing the film did was remind me how great it is to have Star Wars in cinemas again.

It's kind of crazy I am drinking from a Burger King cup with a live-action Zeb on it. I didn't think my Rebels characters would make it big, but I am going to see him on IMAX next week.

Re-watched Ahsoka this week and there was Dave’s witches talking about the Thread of Destiny…

It is also pretty funny that Dave worked on all the bits that his "fans" were mad at and blamed Leslye for, like the coven and all the connections with the Force and Jedi to the prequels (Ki-Adi-Mundi, or Osha & Mae's creation). It goes to show what the real incentive for hate was.

I do think Manny showing up bodes well for the future of The Acolyte. The fact that Dave Filoni also worked on the show gives me hope that internally Lucasfilm wants to continue that story. It is just a matter of convincing Disney. Like what happened with Clone Wars.

I might be too harsh calling The Acolyte a "top 5 Star Wars project." It may be even better than that I struggle ranking new things so high, thinking I just have recency bias Same with TLJ, but then I watch it and remember it is peak Might mean I need to rewatch Acolyte then

Anyway I love the sequel trilogy, the multibillion dollar making third trilogy in the Star Wars franchise that did better than the rest of the saga, that has one of the most popular rides at Hollywood Studios at Disney World, and had spawned off hundreds of creative pursuits by passionate fans

Rey Skywalker makes sense given the meta angle the Sequel trilogy had always operated from. Plus TROS's incessant need to turn metaphor into literal. Let me explain-

I am listening to "Power of Two" by Victoria Monét, and this song fits the series perfectly. Not only does it capture Osha and Mae's dynamic perfectly, but also the relationship between Master and Apprentice. It could easily be referring to Sol, Qimir, or even Vernestra.

I love how Maul having his leg damaged is the catalyst to putting him back into the mindset he had when he first got cut in half. Because he is literally in that same position, crawling across the ground. It is Sisyphus whenever he has fallen to the bottom of the hill.

Oooh, this is a tough one. Maul: Shadow Lord had a very strong first season, although I do think it tapered off towards the end (it could have done with an extra couple of episodes). Resistance's first season will always be excellent, so it has to be between those two shows.

I am getting towards the end of Path of Deciept rn, and I know she is evil... but oh my, these comments... I am scared what she will do 😭 The High Republic has burned me enough, I don't need this.

I've seen a few people say Kenobi was underrated, but I feel casual audiences really liked that series. It is definitely overhated online, but you'll have casual fans gush about that Vader vs. Obi-Wan fight when they haven't seen better series like Andor, Acolyte, or Skelly Crew.

It's a sign that a show is very well written if a story about different characters' opposing points of view succeeds in having the audience root for everyone on all sides. Good writing is good writing. The Acolyte is incredibly wonderful writing.

Another thing I hadn’t considered. For all intents and purposes the jedi are doing well. Most are chilling. They get chill and menial jobs and do them well. The weight of that must be even heavier for Osha.

Especially interesting because they bond over being thrown away/betrayed. And Mae did “backstab” Qimir in a way, but didn’t get far with that. Maybe he sees her as throwing him away too. Hm.

Lucasfilm & Disney aren't ReedPop or Leap (nee Showclix), but one thing they can do something about is make a clear commitment to streaming every panel they put on in full, even if that means a time-delayed window for 'crowd exclusives' for Celebration-at-Home folks.

And we know, Qimir gets the upper hand in this situation because he reveals his true nature to his pupil while Sol still hesitates

He might’ve been all in her head without her ever knowing who he was. Wild.

She tells her sister, reluctantly lol, then she tells her mother. And that might be the last time she said it prior to Pip. I think it’s possible she loved sol as her guardian and maybe wanted to tell him, but knew that wouldn’t work out.

When Osha puts on the mask & we go inside the way we do when Anakin gets his mask at the end of Episode III, has a beautiful symmetry. I personally believe it's the closest thing philosophically to the prequels. For kids it's a treasure trove of beauty! It's a gift that keeps giving. Wonderful fun!
