Take me back to January 2012 where Star Wars bent itself over backwards to explain the resurrection of Darth Maul. People forget that he wasn't suddenly brought back out of nowhere; there were novels and short stories released prior to The Clone Wars specifically to prime audiences for his return.

Reylos: Marie-Claire how do we convince Disney to greenlight this movie Marie-Claire:

Thinking about that one time in the Darth Plagueis novel when teenaged Maul said, "Yeah I could probably beat the entire Jedi Council in a fight" and Sidious' response was, "Go stand in the corner."

Part of being out of the fandom game for the last fives years means that I've literally never heard of Tom Bateman until today, but the first thing I did was google his height 😂

I'm re-reading Maul: Lockdown (not my favorite Maul story but I really wanted a refresher on his relationship with Eogan Truax) and this line hit me like a punch to the gut Context: He's getting the crap beat out of him and it suddenly occurs to him that he's going to die in the next five seconds

I wonder if we could get a scene like this in Maul: Shadow Lord, between Maul and his apprentice. Admittedly, "So, how'd that happen anyway?" is a bit of an indelicate question, but I'd still like to hear Maul answer it. I'm curious how he would tell his own story.
