Every time I re-watch Return to Oz -- inspired after @scaresshapedus.bsky.social's excellent episode -- I notice how much the costume designer seems to have said "Fuck it: Dorothy travels to Oz in the '80s." Mombi's costumes and hair, the Wheeler costumes, Jack's purple pants, all scream 1985.
