I got back to my office after the vote last night and recorded this. There's no way to sugarcoat what happened. And my fear is that Trump gets stronger, not weaker, because of this acquiescence. I'm angry - like you. But I choose to keep fighting.

Standing up to a tyrant - who is willing to impose pain as leverage to compel loyalty or acquiescence - is hard. You can convince yourself that yielding stops the pain and brings you back to "normal". But there is no "normal". Submission emboldens the tyrant. The threat grows.

In response to this claim that the "strategy didn't work." The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting. And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.

The fix is in. Ghislaine Maxwell, transferred to a club med prison after Trump's lawyer met with her (and she likely spilled what she knows about Trump), is now being waited on "hand and foot" by guards and is getting her commutation application ready with help from the warden.
