This shouldn't be an earth-shattering revelation, but our media is right wing and is tickled pink to advance narratives reflecting their ideology. The general reaction to the death of Charlie Kirk is just the latest data point supporting this observation.

At this point, I'm used to the chorus of moralizing nonsense that accompanies the deservedly violent death of a shitty person, but Newsom's tongue bath of Charlie Kirk's still warm corpse really takes it to the next level.

I want the shooter's name to be Mario just to complete the set.

More Democrats have condemned a single shot at Charlie Kirk than the hundreds of bullets fired at Hind Rajab.

The far right has been committing mass political violence for years, without needing any excuses or justifications. While the shooting of Kirk will undoubtedly lead to *more* of said violence, urging one side to refrain when the other has no intention of doing the same seems a little questionable.

As a gentle reminder, be sure that your public celebrations of a certain act of political violence cannot be read as a call for additional acts of political violence.
