The nice thing about canceling a lot of streaming, so much physical media is super cheap at places like thrift stores. I had already been working on building up some of our dvds after companies started pulling shows randomly and with little warning. Garage sales are awesome for dvds too.

People also don’t realize how broad homeless is. There’s people on the streets, but there are also people who couch surf, live in their cars, so many people who are homeless. A huge chunk of these people are unhoused due to the very same policies these eugenists espouse.

I just started growing Prickly Pear in MN, and have a huge patch that came through the winter last year. People are always surprised to find out that you can grow cacti and succulents in a place that has -40 F/C days.

Oh man Alcatraz and Shadow and Bone. I was really just getting into Alcatraz when they didn’t renew. I’ve started not watching new shows and waiting a season or two to make sure I don’t get invested and get disappointed.

Of all the construction related things my dad made me do, drywall and painting was my favorite. Puttying and sanding is really soothing to me.

I was not prepared for how intense a process drywalling is and am looking around at the walls of my house (some are even plaster and lathe!) with wonder and respect.
