If you want to understand why the ATmosphere is going to be the movement to watch, read this thread. Standout line: "Every integration confers squared benefits to the ecosystem"

"Metaphors We Web By". Along side "pages" and "spaces", streams have become a key metaphor for the web. Would add streams to the short list. And since LLMs reflect a deep understanding of those metaphors…

Meta's trying to suppress Sarah Wynn-Williams book because it exposes what an amoral man child Mark Zuckerberg is and how Facebook "doesn't give a fuck" about people. Sarah, who is a friend, knows what she's talking about. She worked at Meta for years. Buy her book!

This interview w / Sarah Wynn-Williams covers a lot about Facebook ~ it's the China/CCP collaboration that surprised me. Didnt realize 11% of META's revenues last year's came from China -- "operating but not operating in China" remarkable.

Good article by Jared Dunnmon on the importance of OS and an open tech stack to drive innovation and continued US leadership in AI. Deepseek V3 was overplayed but the importance of OS and investment in the ecosystem in the west was underplayed

Musk at CPAC ... "freedom is priceless" 5 mins later talking about Ukraine says "what are they dying for, what exactly are they dying for?" Do words not matter to him? I think not. I think what he is saying is that in his world order freedom isn't worth it for Ukraine

This past week opened an opportunity for Europe to reshape itself. Discussions between Russia and the US wont end in a peace agreement -- rather a ceasefire. It will take a while and will get signed by Putin and Trump in Riyadh, with maximum theater and minimal commitments --May 8th, is my bet

Trying Granola iOS beta. Used it at a large dinner this week and then at an event with 20 or so people. Summaries useful but what was killer was the ability to ask questions.. ABG: Always be Granola'ing.

Dick Parsons, was a giant of a man. First person I met with a true photographic memory -- always believed there is a way to get people to talk to one another & figure things out. Asked him why was he the right person to run Time Warner said "cause, Im tall". RIP.
