Today's budget was underwhelming and troubling. Our leaders always have the choice of who makes the "sacrifice" — everyday people, the most vulnerable, big corporations, or the most wealthy. This budget asks us to tighten our belts while military & oil companies find themselves flush with cash.

It's winning time!!! Mamdani's win caps off a brilliantly run campaign and gives us a shot in the arm for what movements already know: that we can & will win by telling the truth, demanding big things & refusing to dance with the establishment. Now watch the doubters pretend they were in all along!

The numbers say it all: 💰 Global North paid climate finance since 2015 = $280bn 🛢️ Profits for oil & gas companies headquartered there = $1.3tn Rich countries paid a fraction of their owed climate debt - while cashing in on the crisis they caused: oilchange.org/publications...

I actually don't think Canadians should prepare to make sacrifices so the military budget and AI investments can be scaled up, ultimately benefitting private contractors and big businesses.

Israel is piling crime on top of crime on top of crime. No wonder it is determined to bring down the entire edifice of international humanitarian law - it's the only hope of protecting itself from consequences. Btw: the allegations are significantly worse than bedbugs.

Full solidarity with the flotilla, which represents the very best of humanity. And eternal shame to the European states who refused to protect it from Israeli assault and establish a corridor for aid to Gaza.
