4/ Huge appreciation to emergency responders, highway crews, and local governments who are working around the clock. Their proactive work since the deadly 2021 Duffey Lake Road slide has been critical in helping avoid a repeat.

3/ Abbotsford remains the most impacted community, with close to 2,000 people evacuated. My heart is with everyone dealing with this stressful and difficult situation. The Fraser Valley, parts of the Okanagan, Princeton, and Chilliwack are also seeing significant impacts.

2/ Another system of heavy rain is on the way. Therefore, two key routes remain closed: • Highway 1 near Abbotsford • Highway 3 between Hope and Manning Park Highway 3 could remain closed for days—or even several weeks.

1/ 🚨 Flooding update for the Fraser Valley + Interior Several major routes that were closed are now open, including the Coquihalla, Highway 1 through the Fraser Canyon, Highway 7 west of Hope, Highway 99, and Highway 1 at Bridal Falls (single lane).
