Almost-global-average sea-surface temperatures are creeping up to record levels again and we’re still in La Niña (according to NOAA). There’s some uncertainty though as you can see from these two datasets..

“We have demonstrated that, across multiple sectors, global climate outcomes at 2°C warming could be much more extreme than those expected in a 3°C or 4°C warmer world.” As is almost always the case, the closer we look the more we realise it’s worse than we thought.
