No kings has gotten so many of my family members who have never done, like, anything to show up. Do I want my family to do even more? Absolutely. But this got them to take a first step, you know?

I think if folks are annoyed about No Kings rallies, or any activity they think is insufficient, they should take that as a sign to organize better for what they want people to do. Organizing is at least partly about asking people to do one or more things that they actually don’t have to do.
