The recent news about both major UK fur cons leaves me feeling incredibly deflated. Running cons is not easy and absolutely not an envyable task, but there just is major failings from both. I am not blind and I am very aware all conventions have issues, they are drama magnets, but it still sucks.

Had a talk with many friends last night about Scotiacon- it looks like theres very bad management going on there too and its a much busier con than Confuzzled so I would likely get overwhelmed if I did go 💀 Just feeling pretty angry and sad at the moment reading all of this about the big UK cons :(

Yesterday I made the difficult decision to step down from staffing ConFuzzled. There are many reasons as to why but I am not going to go into them here. CFz has done a lot for me and I am thankful for that but I want to take a different direction to the one the con is taking. It's been a ride.

So, a bit of an update… Confuzzled management have admitted that they made a mistake but rather than admit that belligerently changing the structure without consultation was the problem (which is why I blew up at them in the first place) I have now been terminated fully.

Just read the response from @confuzzled.org.uk and... It's not reassuring. The sharing of details of the meeting and how it's phrased is incredibly spiteful & unprofessional, and almost seems to be an active attempt to push backlash on the team that's already lost their jobs. Not good enough.
