This. I've been working with "machine learning" since before the current AI-fever and it's an invaluable tool in science and engineering. LLMs and GenAI are being misused in a criminally negligent way and using misplaced legitimacy to do it, and that misdirect cannot be allowed to continue.

Back when #lightnovels only got unofficial fan translations, I tried to get into them multiple times but I always gave up eventually. Only when I started reading professional human translations did the medium really click for me. Any publisher trying to peddle MTL to me will not be getting my money
