If someone is going to get queer bashed if they show up as their full selves in public. If someone is going to get COVID (and become futher disabled) if they show up in public. I mean-- what is it that you expect THEM to do? Maybe YOU are the one who needs to do something to make things accessible.

really tired of conversations about how we need to get people to spend more time offline that don't acknowledge that one of the reasons people ARE online is their access needs aren't being met in physical spaces. This is especially true for queer people and disabled people.

It's the time of year where teachers like giving "fun" holiday activities Please make sure theyre not Xmas centric Yes, many students may enjoy them but unless youre at a religious school, youre bound to have at least one student who will feel alienated & likely won't be comfortable speaking up.

As someone with ME/CFS my entire life is "rational assessment of the threat environment," because I walk a daily tightrope of illness management. I don't have the luxury of ignoring the science, which overwhelmingly proves the threat of covid is still very real. That's not fear, it's fact.
