I don’t know if Burger Kings putting the words “grogus garlic” on their signs is actually great marketing. Like, pass. I’m good.

With how unique the humor in this book was it has come to overshadow that this comic was just great looking, superhero awesomeness.

I just learned Roku has a documentary based on the book Slugfest about the Marvel/DC rivalry, 10 episodes, but see now that the episodes are all 6-10 minutes long. That’s not a series. It’s a short film broken into chunks. And doesn’t seem likely to have anything but broad strokes I already know.

The danger of my interacting with a general superhero comic book audience is I am pro neither current Marvel nor DC and my takes are likely to offend some people who just want to talk about the comics they bought last Wednesday. We are not here for the same thing. Caveat emptor.

I like to see Hank repurposing that stone wheel that fundamentalist Christian caveman rode around in the BC comic strip. I choose to read it as a triumph of science over superstition. I also like the old days when Bobby mostly threw chunks of ice around.

I’m deeply not ok with reformed Scalphunter. I am also troubled that the name is what is considered to be the most problematic aspect of the character for him to be shifted into a protagonist. I think he should be called Mass-Shooter Man. Killed children for sport. Not fit for redemption.

I think these people’s mouse infestation is a lesser problem than their cat’s easy access to dynamite and willingness to use it in the house. #tomneedsmeds
