Thread of incomprehensible excerpts from the EHRCโs new guidelines on single-sex spaces. No alt text in thread unfortunately, but there is a link to the guidance itself. For business owners, the important part of the new ECHR advice is this: 13.179: There is no type of official record or document in the UK which provides reliable evidence of sex. [...] Therefore, it is unlikely to be proportionate or practical to ask for further evidence of a personโs sex.

Also we've fetishized "debateโ in these spaces as some kind of civic good, when what matters is competence, trust, shared purpose. Medicine, engineering, boardrooms arenโt organized around debate or requirements of false balance. We've poisoned public discourse by insisting it be adversarial.

Starmer's Britain. A place where peaceful protest is criminalised, the right to use a gender-appropriate toilet is prohibited, people persecuting refugees are told they have 'legitimate concerns', and the state backs a genocide. Some legacy that for the 'human rights lawyer'.
