The first question we should ask ourselves in these and all other elections is: Which candidates oppose the inordinate power of the ultra-rich, and which ones accept or encourage it?

🌡️ Europe is the fastest‑warming continent, warming at more than 2× the global average. Changing weather patterns, reduced air pollution, declining snow cover & proximity to the rapidly warming Arctic all play a role. ⬇️

We celebrated today our 14th anniversary of moving to the UK as a family! We did it in the most British way we could find: an afternoon tea 😋 🇬🇧 (Ok, and champagne too…)

🚲 There’s a new crowdfunder to support Kidical Mass rides across the UK, and it’s one of those small things that quietly makes a big difference. 👇

Okay folks, I'll give you the ultimate cheat sheet to French food. Everywhere you go you'll be proposed something sounding like "des croubitchoux à la gableuse with a little glass of bounette". Every village has its own very local specialty. How to decipher that ? Very easy.

Despite appearances, this Parisian street is *not* closed to car traffic - I saw a few. Cars just happens to be the least efficient way, so no one uses them unless they have to. Simple!

20 changes in Paris in one minute – a part of a video I made in 2023 showcasing changes that were often quite recent at the time. Those same places now have much more greenery, so there will probably be a 2025 or 2026 version! ;) 1/2

This used to be a highway with lots of loud polluting cars just driving through Paris. Now, it is a beautiful pedestrian & bike path along the Seine for all to enjoy on the first spring-like day of the year.

After graduating in Computer Science, my oldest daughter has been looking for a job. Barely any interview in sight, but countless forms with weird questions such as: "What specific moment in your personal growth journey led to you realising that a career in technology at <CompanyX> was for you?" 😳

In Aug 2024,

saw the somewhat controversial introduction of a bus lane on London Road. It was suggested that by converting one lane, congestion at a new pinch point would lead increased air pollution:

The opposite has in fact happened: air pollution has dropped!

Last week, I started listening to music on my bike with a speaker. I like the energy it gives. Today, a pothole sent it flying, and the car behind didn’t miss it 😢 I could only gather half the pieces.
