Frankly, things are so immediate and intense in Minnesota right now that it feels like people in other places talking about other things might as well be on the moon. This is especially the case when people from elsewhere talk about how much things have changed here when they clearly haven’t

Very little if anything seems to have changed on the ground. ICE is still out there terrorizing neighborhoods and trying to disappear neighbors. None of us on the ground are buying this bullshit. We will keep organizing and fighting.

Guys if you see observers thank them. There’s real stress and burnout in the ranks right now. People understand they are waking up every day to chase and monitor federal thugs who can execute them. But they keep doing it nonstop to protect their neighbors

Summer 2025 edition

There has been an increasing sense in Minneapolis that we are on our own, that our elected representatives are unwilling and/or unable to take action to get these murderous Nazi thugs out of our community. I really hope that changes today. The time for pleading TV hits ended weeks ago.

Yesterday, I drove refugees that had been shipped off to Texas all the way back home to St. Paul Seeing them reunite with their families reminded me this is their home. So keep sending them to Texas. I’ll keep driving ‘em back and introducing them to Bucc-ee’s and KC barbecue along the way.

still feels like folks outside of MN are kind of not getting it: our state has been under attack for over a month, and the resistance is being organized by literally your regular old neighbors and coworkers and friends.

National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation. Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.

I really hope any of you also in the Twin Cities have been staying safe as you're able. It's scary here. At least they'll have to deal with the polar vortex soon. Given the grace and poise with which they've handled icy streets so far I'm sure they're well equipped for it (◠‿◕✿)

Learn your strengths, and embrace them. These will likely line up with what you're most passionate about or enjoy doing most. Don't stress over being an expert jack of all trades or following perceived norms, because if you do what you love and do it well, it'll shine and find an audience.
