I've been in a weird spot with Disney for years because on one hand their older movies have been a core inspiration and are basically the reason I started drawing, and on the other hand, I yearn for the day the company withers and falls apart. Overjoyed to see their stock plummet~

Bluesky is about to lose so, so many of us, myself included, if plans don't change. Not only do I not want to be anywhere the entire artistic community isn't welcome, I know my queer and furry content won't be safe. Down to my literal children's book project.

Below is a helpful thread if you're like me and felt paralyzed seeing the initial article without context. Obviously this is still bad news but it's more helpful to fact-check than to spread undue panic among the trans community when we're already struggling to just get through each day this year.

This is genuinely such an important thing to NOT do right now. There are so many genuine threats to trans folks that the last thing anyone needs is exaggerating or misleading folks about what is happening. Is this bad? Yes. Is it the trans apocalypse like folks have been spreading? No.

I was a very easily frightened child but in particular, the screaming cyborg zombie in Space Quest 4, the ReDeads from Ocarina of Time and the spider chase in Rayman 2 are core traumatic memories I would include images but I still don't like looking at that zombie tbh.....
