So my impressions with the new Starfox game: - Oh my god the cut scenes are insanely good, and the artstyle has definitely grown on me! -Katt Monroe is by far the best glowup! -I love how lore is the unlock incentive! It kinda reminds me of why i loved trophies in Smash!

Sorry about my crashout last night over the Glitch/Fortnight collab. I will be keeping my posts up because I feel some of my concerns are valid, But I do feel like I did go way out of line in expressing them.

Okay, one more post about the TADC/Fortnight collab. I think what hurts even worse than Glitch going along with the deal is the fact so many people have downplayed the transphobia and AI concerns as “fandom drama.”

This is my last post on the TADC/Fortnight matter, but I want to explain why this whole thing makes me feel upset and well...defeated. (thread)

If I see anymore "whataboutisms" regarding the Glitch/EPIC collab, I'm going to start blocking people. I think I'm going to step away from Bsky for a few days, because God damn people are being utterly disappointing over this!

Incredibly disappointing to learn that TADC is doing a thing with fortnite. A show that features multiple LGBTQ+ coded characters being added to a game that actively supports anti-trans/anti-LGBTQ content AND fired over a thousand employees? Yikes.

Just cancelled a merch order I placed with Glitch in objection to this. I do not know who signed off on this, but I do not want to support Glitch financially right now if this is the kind of collaboration they are interested in. Fucking hell. 😓

Pretty disappointing to see them collab with Fortnite considering the whole - Fortnite being pro and using genAI - Them also using AI to make the deceased actor of Darth Vader an npc - The Harry Potter collab. Like its kind of a stab in the back imma be real.

For anyone that is thinking of playing fortnite remember -Uses generative AI -Collabed with Harry Potter (the residuals of which JKR uses to fund anti trans lobbying) -Is published by a company whose CEO defended Gen AI X I absolutely take note who still plays after knowing this

Just a heads up to everyone who is not in the know: Epic Games had recently laid off thousands of their animators in favor for generative AI, including firing an employee who has terminal brain cancer and stripping away his life insurance.

It really is disappointing to see some big names praising and hyping Glitch's collaboration with Epic Games. Some of these folks are the same people that broke the news about Epic's Layoffs, Tim Sweeney's tirade over AI disclosure, the HP collab, the use of AI in Fortnight, and so on.

Epic Games layed off a huge chunk of its staff, has used and promoted AI in its game, and has collaborated with J.K Rowling. I know most people aren't going to care since being in Fortnight is considered a success marker, but I am not enthusiastic about Glitch's decision to collaborate with Epic.

By incredible kindness, @lotusprince.bsky.social (whom I'd originally sold my copy of SNES FFIII to about 10 years ago) still had it & simply offered to work out how to get it back now that finances improved. It's now back & the thing that made me weep was the sticky note that says ただいま (I'm home).

This right here has been the main reason I have refused to let myself get excited about any of Squares upcoming releases. And with the recent sketchiness of the KH collection art, I feel like my suspicion is justified!
