ZCNovember! Why November 1? I have the story in The Angel’s Curse start on November 1st. I really don’t know where this date came from! It’s always been that way, even in some original drafts. I thought of changing it, but I feel like November really sets the tone for the setting.

You know, the Arc de Triomphe is a veteran’s memorial and a symbol of the French people and history. There are several arches across the country that serve the same purpose. It’s not a monument to a singular person. Especially not a single person who caused nothing but agony and suffering.

Same as walking into a room then forgetting why you’re there: Remembering something you wanted/needed to do, picking up your phone, then just mindlessly scrolling for an hour without doing the task.

18. This part is pretty easy as Rei has never left Kythe before in her life. Everything is new to her, and it's the first time she really gets a chance to realize how stifling and stagnant her life is and how she isn't quite as dead inside as she thinks she wants to be. #PlotTober #writesky

Ppl who read about a Autistic trait often don’t have *context* & ask: “that sounds like something everyone does, doesn’t that mean everyone’s Autistic?” 1st, having a *single* Autistic trait doesn’t mean a person is Autistic. 2nd, we recommend you take the RAADS-R test if want larger context.

I think you also need to ask how many people have the skills neccesary to critique any book they read, let alone trans books, or the willingness to do so period. Critical reading is not a natural skill, and it's not one always taught well in high and middle school.

#PlotTober day 14 Obviously the goal is to get Tabbitha to feel comfortable with her family and with the present reality. So, the ending will reflect something like this. It may not be sensational or whatever, but it will still feel like a conclusive ending (that’s my hope, anyway)

#PlotTober day 13 (I’m behind 😅 Luckily feeling better, though) Originally, the story began with Tabbitha finding an object that didn’t immediately give her a vision, unlike the others. This frustrates her and makes her keep going back to it to try to “force” it out of it. I may keep this beginning

#PlotTober day 10 For Tabbitha, it’s not a backstory but the lack of one, really. Her past is a mystery that she doesn’t remember, and this makes her want to figure it out and fill in the blanks. Not sure what it is, myself, at this point 😅

Yeah. Rejection was the worst thing for me when I was young, and it was what really dampened my passion for a while, unfortunately. Especially because I was just starting out and was otherwise excited and writing prolifically. Rejection over and over can really hurt. Especially when you’re 17-22.

#PlotTober day 9 Tabbitha is very secretive and guarded. It takes a while for her to open up and be part of the family. She also tends to be too anxious at times. She does have some positive traits that the others point out to her, like her creativity and empathy, but she doesn’t notice until later

#PlotTober Day 8 Was sick 🥲 Well, for Tabbitha, really she’s her own enemy, in a way. She’s too focused on her own interpretation of reality to change her mind and see what’s in front of her. So, in a way, she is the reason for her own conflict 😅 Sounds a lot like me…

If nothing else, being sick has allowed me time to copy all my original notes on In Place of My Heart (IPM) so I can work on revising the plot. I’m glad I got that done. I am also upset that there is nothing to work with. The original plot I wrote is so boring 😅 So I have my work cut out for me…
