There are certain narratives that society has instilled in the public's psyche about specific* groups of people. I've noticed that if I don't adhere to said narrative and/or if my journey deviates from it, people (typically men) tend to short-circuit and run in the opposite direction.

TikTok transfers ownership on Jan 22nd and Oracle will be in charge of the algorithm. Much of the news and topics you go to TikTok for will be suppressed and propaganda will likely be pushed to the front. A reminder: you are not innately immune to propaganda. Stay vigilant.

Things are just so different with me now and I’m done pretending. The level of performance required to thrive in this environment (on a large scale, not intimately) is not healthy. I got back on Monday and by Thursday, i was over it. I’m certain it was a mix of the headlines and personal stuff.

I’m also on the fence about creating a year-end highlight reel for socials. I went through my photo album, and i actually did waaaaay more this year than i initially thought. It just feels weird. I want to celebrate myself but it feels super performative right now. So, we’ll see…

It’s NYE so i have to carve out time to do my obligatory 3 day journal entry. 12/31, 1/1, and 1/2(🎂)… 2025 is the first year (since 2016) that i haven’t journaled on a consistent basis. I’m a big fan of the catharsis and documenting everything, but I’m choosing to see the good in this.

More 30-60-90 days of low-lift emotional regulation planning and "strategy" so that (what feels like) the inevitable won't sting as much when it finally arrives? Like, pls...

The decisions I've had to make for myself are in an attempt to stabilize and hold on to what feels like a modicum of "control"...it's truly a feeling of powerlessness (even on the individual level vs collective), and this year has made that more apparent than ever. So, now what?

I've been tasking myself to *further* examine systemic structures and barriers that go beyond a constant need to constantly "reframe" reality (because it feels like I'm bypassing instead of confronting)...and every road leads back to the illusion of any real autonomy.

The latest Mercury Retrograde is over.

I've had all 4 email inboxes set to OOO since Tuesday, and I am not ready to resume 'business as usual.' I'm also feeling a bit agitated (?) about December 1 being Monday... It's like I'm beyond ready for this year to be over, but I'm also not too optimistic about 2026. I've been so stuck!

It was all cortisol, stress, and hormonal. The fires had just subsided and i was “adjusting” to the post-inauguration news cycle.

It’s also not lost on me how much weight I’ve dropped this year. Sheesh.
